The objective of the walk is to create awareness on the autism spectrum a neurological disorder that affects how a person communicates with, and relates to, other people and it usually goes unnoticed until a child starts school.

The cheques were presented by Walk for Autism Sabah’s chairperson, Jaqueline Lingham. PUOP also hosted a mini Walk for Autism in Tawau with over 100 walkers on April 5th, 2014.
Next year, Walk for Autism will be held on April 18th, 2015 (venue TBA) and Persatuan CHILD Sabah hopes that the community will support the cause and take part in the walk.
