KOTA KINABALU, June 12, 2014: The Tip of Borneo in Tanjung Simpang Mengayau will once again bear witness to Sabah’s biggest open air concert, the Sunset Music Fest 2014. The event will be held on the 20 – 21 June from 5:00PM to 8:30PM featuring performance from international as well as local artists.
Sunset Music Fest this year features a line up of international and local acts performing a broad repertoire of music and songs. Popular local singers will be performing their rendition of current and evergreen local hits that will be sure to get the audience on their feet.
Performing at the most unconventional of venues can be an unforgettable and memorable experience for both musicians and audience. The audiences will enjoy a repertoire of performances by Syafinaz Selamat, Rhytm of Borneo, Gee Mojina, Christopher Aban, Rey Kimara, Fingerstyle, Francis Landong, Joe Balanjui Jr., Gedion Hilarius, Den Bisa, and Rosario Ninih. Also featured in this year’s festival is the Philippines Pop Orchestra, Philpops.
Handicraft, souvenir, food and drinks are also set up on both days. During the two-day event, access to the venue and its surroundings, which include the pathway from the parking lot to the globe, will be open to the thicket holders only from 3:00PM to 10:00PM
Tickets are priced at MYR50 for one day entry and MYR80 for two-days passes. Return transportation is available on both days for ticket holders at only MYR10 per person. The transportation departs from Sabah Tourism Board Office at 2:ooPM. Closing date for transport reservations is on 17 June 2014.

Kudat Festival 2014
In conjunction with the event, Kudat Festival 2014 is also happening from 20 – 22 June 2014. Concert attendees are invited to take the opportunity to extend their trip to explore Kudat and participate in the various activities held during Kudat Festival.
Make your way to Sidek Esplanade to witness Dragon Boat Race, and also experience yourself with array of activities such as traditional cooking contest, local talent competition, batik painting demonstration and coconut based handicraft making contest.
