KOTA KINABALU, Jun 20, 2014: A line-up of high-caliber musicians from the Philippines, Philpops, will bring a combination of pop and also classical music to enthrall the audiences at Sunset Music Fest 2014. The event starts today and tomorrow evening (20 – 21 June 2014) from 5PM to 10PM at the scenic Tip of Borneo, Tanjung Simpang Mengayau.

Philpops was founded by Adolfo ‘Pong’ Mendoza back in 2003. This crossover classical and pop orchestra concept attracts a large group of excellent young musicians and professional musicians who love to play together out of passion for music and camaraderie. It is also an avenue for musicians to showcase their talents and promote the excellence of Filipino artists in the local and international scene.

Apart from performing at Sunset Music Fest, Philpops will also be involved with outreach charity programme and also masterclass and workshops for students. Philpops is brought exclusively by Rumah Terbalik as a support for Sabah’s premier annual event, Sunset Music Fest.
The Sunset Music Fest started out as a platform to promote the Tip of Borneo as a tourist attractionb a few years back. The event now has evolved into Sabah’s premier event, bringing international and also local talents to perform in the picturesque Tanjung Simpang Mengayau.
