Malaysia, Brunei Agree To Boost Cooperation In Cooperative Sector
PUTRAJAYA, Jan 28: Malaysia and Brunei have agreed to boost cooperation in cooperative movement encompassing trading, halal food, school cooperatives, tourism in Borneo, franchise industry and cuts credit facility.
The collaboration was concluded by Malaysia’s Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry and Brunei’s Industry and Primary Resources Ministry at the first Malaysia-Brunei Joint Working Group Meeting on Cooperatives here, yesterday.
Malaysia’s Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry, in a statement, said the Malaysian delegation was headed by ministry’s secretary-general Datuk Saripuddin Kasim while Brunei delegates were led by ministry’s permanent secretary Normah S. H. Jamil.
The Malaysia-Brunei Joint Working Group Meeting is aimed at implementing the Memorandum of Understanding between concluded by both countries in Bandar Seri Begawan on Dec 8 last year.
