Kota Marudu polls petition dismissed with costs

Nov 7: The Election Court today dismissed the election petition for the Kota Marudu parliamentary constituency.

Judge Yew Jen Kee in delivering the verdict, also ordered petitioner – Parti Keadlilan Rakyat (PKR) candidate Maijol Mahap to pay RM80,000 in costs to respondents – the Election Commission and Returning Officer Lovita Koisun.

Kota Marudu Member of Parliament Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili, who was previously taken out as a respondent, said they can now breath a sigh of relief and focus on continuing the service to the people.
